A new school in the paediatrics department: Scoiattolo's commitment to the children of Tradate

Scoiattolo's attention to the Varese territory continues with the inauguration of the new paediatrics department of the Tradate Hospital, of which the historic Raviolificio di Lonate Ceppino supported with the construction of the school.

Within the paediatrics department, in fact, there will also be new colourful and tailor-made spaces used for teaching so that hospitalised children can find continuity with everyday life within the walls of the hospital, as well as not missing school days.

"For all of us at Scoiattolo, it is a moment of great joy to finally see the opening of this completely renovated space designed to welcome children with even more attention than before. We immediately believed in the effectiveness of this important project" says Massimiliano Di Caro, General Manager of Scoiattolo Raviolificio di famiglia.

"We highly value the Ponte del Sorriso non-profit organisation, which we have begun to support, in different ways in the last two years, in their fundraising for machinery and activities in the paediatrics departments of hospitals in the area. The inauguration of the new paediatrics department, within the Tradate Hospital, is specifically a milestone of great importance for our entire province as well as becoming the concrete gesture of all those who work every day for the well-being of the little ones".

The school is an indispensable environment within a hospital because, in addition to guaranteeing the right to study, it symbolises the promise that everything will return as before and is an indispensable condition to help prevent hospital trauma to hospitalised children and young people.

The classrooms of the new Paediatrics department of Tradate are thus part of a much larger project that sees a revolution in the department, with wonderful paintings made entirely by hand on all the walls, depicting the world of nature, from the savannah to the sea, with all its characters: fish, the polar bear, elephants and many others. The colours are brilliant and capture the eyes and imagination, to reassure young patients and help them face the disease with serenity.

"A child, a teacher, a book and a pen can change the world", is the phrase chosen by Scoiattolo as the seal of the new school, a hope that the Di Caro, Guerra and Belletti families address to children and their families, with the desire to create an increasingly strong value network in the territory.
