SCOIATTOLO HEADS TO SAN DIEGO FOR THE WINTER FANCY FAIRE

From 11 to 13 January, Scoiattolo – Raviolificio di famiglia took part in the Winter Fancy Fair in San Diego, one of the most important international trade fairs for the food industry, showcasing the excellence of its fresh filled pasta across the Atlantic.

ITALIAN INNOVATION AND TRADITION MEET THE INTERNATIONAL MARKETS

Scoiattolo’s participation in the Winter Fancy Faire provided an important opportunity to meet and engage with numerous international buyers, to whom the company presented a selection of products designed specifically for the target market.


These solutions are the result of the collaborative efforts of the owners and the Research and Development department, the true beating heart of the company, which has always been committed to developing products that reflect the tastes, needs and trends of global markets, whilst never losing sight of Italian tradition.


Today, the foreign market accounts for approximately 70% of the Raviolificio’s total business, with exports to over 40 countries worldwide, including both branded and private label products.


This figure testifies to the company’s strong international focus and its ability to adapt its range to different contexts and consumers.

LARGE SIZES, UNIQUE FILLINGS AND BESPOKE SOLUTIONS

Among the products showcased at the trade fair, particular attention was paid to maxi-size bipacks, designed to meet the specific needs of retailers and featuring a custom-designed image created by the in-house design team. Striking packaging, designed to showcase the product
on the shelf and visually convey the Italian character and identity of the brand.


The recipes range from the most classic, such as ricotta and spinach or prosciutto and Parmigiano Reggiano, to richer, more indulgent options such as carbonara, goat’s cheese and caramelised onion, or chicken cacciatore.


When it comes to shapes, Scoiattolo never ceases to amaze; in fact, it has reaffirmed the company’s latest patented shape: the Giant. A giant 8x10 cm ravioli, produced using a patented industrial process that allows for a 70% filling ratio. A unique product that combines the tradition of fresh pasta with technological innovation and gourmet presentation on the plate, at the table.
